Administrative Nurse III (Nurse Manager) - Hematology and Oncology Clinic (Day Shift)
The Administrative Nurse III (ANIII) is a Registered Professional Nurse who is responsible for developing and supervising of nursing services of one or more nursing units in the in-patient and/or out-patient departments utilizing the Nursing Process and Relationship-Based Care model as the framework. The Administrative Nurse III manages direct patient care and takes initiative to improve patient outcomes by integrating Shared Leadership, Evidence Based Practice and Magnet's Five Models of Care into clinical practice. Through therapeutic relationships with patients, families, self and colleagues, the Administrative Nurse III functions as a professional who manages quality patient care and facilitates achievement of unit and organizational goals. The ANIII plans, organizes, directs and controls all unit/service line activities involved in the effective, efficient and economical utilization of material resources and personnel of the delegated unit/service line, ensuring patient safety.
Requirements include:
Licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in Illinois with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Division of Professional Regulation.
Three years of professional nursing experience. OR
Two years of professional nursing experience and one year of related advanced education.
Current AHA BLS/CPR and other required unit specific certifications.
Effective communication skills (oral and written) that facilitate therapeutic relationships between patients, family, and health care providers.
Intermediate computer skills with the ability to become proficient in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) with on-the-job training.
Excellent attendance, interpersonal skills and work history required.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Two to three years of previous supervisory or progressive management experience in oncology ONS Bio/Chemotherapy Certification.
