Position Summary:
The Administrative Analyst works closely with department chairs and the Director of Farms to support a range of operational and analytical functions. Responsibilities include administering processes for part-time employees, faculty, staff, and travel. The role also involves monitoring and coordinating college events, projects, and program activities. This position is governed by state and federal laws, as well as institutional policies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conducts ad hoc research and data collection on academic programs, enrollment, retention, and related metrics; prepares concise statistical reports and visual summaries for leadership.

- Administers hiring paperwork, payroll/attendance documentation, timesheet verification, farm reports, and onboarding for part‑time employees, graduate assistants, and student workers.
- Assists graduate faculty with administrative activities for graduate courses and graduate student advising.
- Coordinates and processes faculty, staff, and student travel requests, reimbursements, and related travel documentation; ensures compliance with travel policies.
- Coordinates the schedule of classes and student course evaluations with the faculty and chairs.
- Analyzes data, identifies trends and issues, and develops actionable recommendations to support undergraduate and graduate program improvement and operational efficiency.
- Assists in developing or revising policies, procedures, and directives informed by research data; drafts proposals for supervisor review and approval.
- Compiles financial and budget-related information to support budget proposals, monitors expenditures, and reports variances to the supervisor.
- Interprets and applies institutional administrative directives, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent implementation across programs and units.
- Provides guidance and clarification to faculty, staff, and students regarding college programs, processes, and compliance requirements.
- Assists the academic chair and research chair by maintaining leave records, appointment calendars, prioritizing incoming correspondence, and preparing routine administrative materials.
- May supervise a small to medium administrative support staff or student group such as the ambassadors; participates in hiring, training, and performance evaluations as assigned.
- Supports planning, logistics, and coordination for college events and program activities, including vendor coordination and on-site oversight.
- Compiles research productivity data and prepares concise statistical reports and visual summaries for Research Chair.
- Communicates research related opportunities to research-active faculty to keep them up-to-date on opportunities.
- Assists in coordination of grant application activities to assist in timely submission to RTT pre-award staff.
- Compiles and maintains directory of research collaborators for outreach and reporting purposes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of planning and analysis techniques and procedures. Knowledge of department operations, policies, and procedures. Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations pertaining to higher education. Knowledge of basic accounting principles. Ability to plan and execute departmental events and programs. Ability to evaluate programs and perform quantitative and comparative reviews. Ability to prepare, and present comprehensive written and oral reports. Ability to organize and conduct meetings and workshops. Skilled in the Microsoft Office Suite of programs as well as other software to perform office duties. Ability to learn computer software programs to enhance office efficiency.

Applicants should be extremely well organized, detailed, and able to refocus quickly from multiple interruptions. Demonstrated outstanding customer service experience is preferred
Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of an earned associate's degree, with a preference for fields such as public administration, education administration, business, or a related field.
Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or parts of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the qualifications review committee
