PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Administrative Assistant will provide a wide range of administrative and staff support to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES/ DUTIES:
Administrative support:
Project a professional image through in-person and phone interaction: serve as primary person for inbound phone calls; receive and direct visitors;
Collect and distribute incoming mail;
Accurately process donations by entering relevant data into Vital Ground’s donor management software;
Prepare outgoing mail, including donor acknowledgement letters/packets, merchandise orders, and other mailings as required;
Maintain inventory counts;
Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems;
Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested, providing related assistance as required for Executive Director and other staff.
Requirements
Experience with office systems, equipment and software.
Strong database and content management system skills.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
Excellent written and interpersonal communications skills.
Commitment to conservation issues.
A knowledge of non-profit land trusts and conservation issues.
