- Administrative Assistant
Description
The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of office.
- Administers LNC rental program, including conducting tours, scheduling rentals, and sending timely information and invoices to renters.
- Carries out administrative duties such as paying bills, sending invoices, entering checks into QuickBooks, paying monthly sales tax, and tracking expenses.
- Support administrative aspects of fundraisers, donations, and memberships program with tasks such as acknowledgment letters, legacy brick orders, and logging data into our database.
- Enters timesheets in our payroll system.
- Support events planning with tasks such as vendor coordination.
- Supports team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication.
- Maintains supplies inventory by anticipating needed supplies and ordering supplies.
- Helps keep the building clean and orderly.
- Answers phone calls.
- Other tasks as needed.
This position is part-time, approximately 20 hours a week, with potential to increase hours for increased job duties. Actual work hours are flexible between M-F, 8 AM-5 PM. Pay is $17/hr. Benefits include proportionate pay for vacation, holidays, and sick time, and a discount on Forest School and Summer Camp.

Requirements
- Microsoft Office Skills required. QuickBooks, Canva, etc. desirable.
- Highly organized.
- Strong attention to detail, and ability to work both collaboratively and with minimal supervision
- Solid written and oral communication skills
- Friendly, inclusive customer service presence
- Interest in and commitment to Louisville Nature Center’s mission highly desired.
- While this position does not work directly with children, they are the lifeblood of LNC, so enjoying children is very helpful.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education required.
- One year of work experience.
