| Job Summary | The Administrative Staff Officer III Financial Lead in the Research Administrative & Fiscal Affairs (RAFA) office provides strategic and operational leadership in managing complex financial processes that support the University's research enterprise. This position oversees budgeting, forecasting, financial management, and compliance across multiple funding sources. Working closely with the Research Area Fiscal Officer, this role supports the successful development of the annual University of Kentucky Research Foundation (UKRF) budget and administers University of Kentucky Research Foundation funding programs. In collaboration with the Research AFO and the AVPR for Development and Support, this position provides financial oversight for OVPR core facilities- guiding rate development, compliance, and financial sustainability. The ASO Financial Lead will directly supervise financial staff, fostering professional development, ensuring adherence to university fiscal policies, and promoting operational excellence. This position requires a high degree of analytical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple complex budget in a fast-paced environment. The qualified candidate will have strong analytical and organizational skills and will be a proactive and detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple priorities and communicate effectively across academic and administrative units.
