| Job Summary | The Civil Engineering (CE) Administrative Office is seeking a self-motivated, dependable, and professional student worker to serve as the front desk point of contact while providing general administrative support. This role is the first impression of the CE office and is responsible for greeting visitors, assisting with questions, and directing individuals to the appropriate faculty, staff, meeting locations, or resources. The student worker will also help maintain a tidy, organized front desk and reception area, answer general inquiries, and route questions or requests to the appropriate person. In addition to front desk responsibilities, this position will support daily administrative needs and special projects by managing routine office tasks such as sorting incoming mail and deliveries, notifying faculty and staff when mail or packages arrive, and organizing and tracking packing slips and related documentation. The student worker will assist with organizing office supplies and restocking as needed, and will be expected to take initiative by proactively identifying tasks or issues that need attention and completing them independently. The role also includes helping with department events through preparation, check-in support, and light event logistics, as well as assisting with meeting setup by preparing rooms and coordinating catering as directed. |
