Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and highly organized Administrative Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our Lithia Springs, GA manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy, able to manage various administrative tasks, and provide support for safety and operational processes. This role requires an individual with strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Primary Responsibilities:
Filing & Documentation:
Maintain and organize physical and digital filing systems.
Ensure timely retrieval of records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Assist in data entry and document management for operational purposes.
Computer Skills & Data Management:
Use various software programs (Microsoft Office, ERP systems, etc.) to manage spreadsheets, databases, and documents.
Maintain and update records, including inventory logs and vendor contacts.
Office Support & Miscellaneous Tasks:
Handle phone calls, emails, and general correspondence on behalf of the department.
Provide assistance with office supplies, ordering, and inventory management.
Assist other departments with administrative tasks as needed.
Freight Coordination:
Organize and coordinate shipments, deliveries, and freight logistics.
Communicate with freight carriers to schedule pick-ups and track deliveries.
Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Safety & Compliance Support:
Assist in preparing and maintaining safety logs and incident reports.
Help coordinate safety meetings, including preparing materials and maintaining meeting records.
Assist in monitoring safety compliance and report discrepancies or hazards.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree/credit preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication, are required
- Knowledge of computers and business computer software, including Microsoft Excel; Epicor desired
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
- Able to adapt to ever-changing daily priorities
- Basic mathematical skills, including calculating discounts and percentages, required
- Product/industry knowledge and experience an asset
