Description
The Applied Research Center (ARC) addresses the nation's national security challenges by uniting government and military stakeholders, Defense Industrial Base (DIB) partners, and academic experts in one collaborative, secure environment.Job Summary
The Program Support Administrator serves as the primary point of contact for all administrative functions at the Applied Research Center (ARC). This highly visible role provides direct administrative and operational support to ARC leadership while also assisting faculty and facility partners. The individual is responsible for managing sensitive information, supporting secure operations, and coordinating logistics to ensure smooth daily operations and the successful execution of ARC's research mission.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Serves as the principal administrative partner to the ARC Director and Chief Research Security Officer, providing high-level support and anticipating daily operational needs.
- Oversees day-to-day operational logistics, including space assignments and appropriate access for authorized staff, faculty, students, and facility members.
- Provides event support by managing event logistics, including scheduling, space reservations, attendee coordination, and on-site support.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Provides administrative support to executives, exercising confidentiality, tact and diplomacy.
- Utilizes business software applications to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, etc.
- Receives, screens, and directs incoming calls, visitors, mail, and email promptly, courteously, and accurately.
- Manages executive's calendar, meetings, travel, correspondence, and budget.
- Acts as informal resource for colleagues with less experience; responds to more complex or escalated inquiries.
- Identifies, enhances, and follows specific processes and procedures to maximize the efficiencies of the business to which the support is being provided.
- May perform other duties related to maintaining an internal website and/or working with social media.

EDUCATION
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED)

- 4 years of relevant experience

- Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
