Hiring Range: $33.57 - $37.30/hour
Monday – Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM

Administrative Analyst - Business Operations- Recreation Services
This position is primarily focused on serving as the Business Operations subject matter expert for Recreation business systems, including RecTrac, WebTrac, and related registration, pass, reservation, and financial processes. Analyze financial and operational data, perform credit card reconciliations, develop reports, and identify opportunities to improve business processes, data integrity, and operational efficiency. Collaborate with Recreation staff, Finance, Information Technology, and software vendors to troubleshoot system issues, support software enhancements, and provide technical guidance that ensures accurate, reliable business operations.
Definition:
Perform a wide variety of tasks in providing highly responsible administrative staff assistance, conducting specific and comprehensive analyses of a wide range of municipal policies, organization, procedures, financial services, and maintenance and analysis of department/division data.
Principal Duties:
Develop and maintain department activity, accounting, and statistical tracking processes, spreadsheets, and databases. Compile, analyze, and ensure accuracy of data. Work closely with professional and management staff to assist in the interpretation and analysis of data.
Develop and implement processes related to data management activities.
Develop and conduct surveys of various department programs and services.
Analyze data and prepare reports and recommendations.
Develop and modify databases and spreadsheets to ensure proper tracking and maintenance of collected data. Participate in the design and installation of new and revised software programs and systems.
Administer non-complex, administrative-oriented department programs. Serve as point of contact to the public and customers and resolve issues. Maintain program data and prepare related reports.
Assist in the tracking, analysis, and presentation of financial and budgetary information. Maintain and modify department databases. Assist in resolving issues with department and Finance. Prepare reports.
Perform special projects within department/division as assigned.
Represent the department and/or City in interdepartmental, interagency, community, and professional meetings as required.
Confer with members of the public and the media to explain policies and programs, respond to complaints and requests for information. Produce news releases and media briefings.
Working Environment:
Work is generally performed in standard office environment. Frequently works closely with others, occasional exposure to excessive intermittent noise, constant noise, dust, electrical energy, works around machinery, operates business machines, irregular working hours, and occasionally working alone.
Physical requirements include frequent use of fingers, use of both hands, sitting, correctable vision, hearing, speaking and writing; occasional light and moderate lifting, light and moderate carrying, reaching, walking, standing, bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling, squatting, and driving.
Mental requirements include frequent reading of documents, use of confidentiality, problem solving, detailed work, math, reasoning, verbal and written communication, customer contact and multiple concurrent tasks; occasionally reads maps and works under stress.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business administration, public administration, or related field and at least two years of general administrative experience preferably in a municipal government.
