Administrative Assistant
Pitt Global is seeking a temporary administrative assistant to support the Global Studies Center, Center for Ethnic Studies Research, and Center for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies with general office support work. Duties include:
Scheduling meetings and managing calendars in coordination with others, providing logistical support during meetings and events.
Providing general information and appropriate answer inquiries from walk-ins, phone calls, and emails.
Preparing and editing various documents, including financial reports, presentation materials, and routine correspondence, using established guidelines and proper formatting.
Making minor purchases, collecting payments, and verifying billing information.
Performing and variety of clerical duties, including filing paperwork, distributing mail, assisting with travel arrangement, maintaining mailing lists, and data entry.
A high school degree or GED is required. Previous experience as an administrative assistant in higher education is preferred. An associate and/or bachelors degree would be accepted as a substitution for previous work experience.
