Description
WVU Medicine's Administrative Fellowship (Flagship Academic Medical Center Track), based at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, is a two-year, comprehensive program designed to prepare emerging leaders for careers in healthcare management. The fellowship consists of seven core rotations (Hospital Operations, Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Ambulatory/Provider Network, Nursing Operations, Community Hospital), assigned projects within each rotation, and line leadership experience. Fellows will learn about the structure, philosophy, values, and mission of WVU Medicine, as well as develop and refine their leadership skills and competencies. In addition, fellows will spend time with key leaders and senior executives in order to gain perspective on daily challenges, decisions, and strategic initiatives. This provides an opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about the institution and its leaders and identify areas for project work or rotations. The entire WVU Medicine team is committed to retaining and integrating high-quality fellows within the organization after the fellowship is complete.
