The St. Elizabeth Physicians Administrative Fellowship is a full-time program that offers the flexibility to accommodate an aspiring health care administrator’s interests with exposure to a broad range of learning opportunities within a medical group and integrated health system environment.
Throughout this program, fellows will be exposed to senior-level decision-making processes, participate in team decision-making activities, and work on projects within departments throughout the system. While the program is designed to attract and retain emerging talent in the field of healthcare administration, the fellows will lead and participate in projects that will ultimately contribute value to the organization’s strategic framework and operational initiatives.
The fellows will gain exposure to the key service lines, departments, and core functions of the organization, and gain experience and benefits from formal, organizational and professional development opportunities. Additionally, the current fellow will serve in a mentorship role for incoming fellows through their onboarding process and into the first few months of their fellowship. Structure:
The first phase of the fellowship provides an opportunity for the fellow to better understand the medical group’s operations and support infrastructure. During this rotational component, the fellow will meet with department leaders and build a foundational knowledge of the health system.
The second phase of the fellowship provides the opportunity to enlist the support of the fellow in various projects across the organization. To ensure a well-rounded fellowship experience and appropriate workload, the preceptor serves as the clearing house for project assignments during the fellowship.
During the third phase of the fellowship, the fellow will serve in an interim management role.
Professional Development:
Fellows will be given the opportunity to actively participate in meetings, present work to executives, and work alongside individuals at all levels within the system. Opportunities to develop, both personally and professionally, through St. Elizabeth’s Leadership Academy will also be available.

Eligible Candidates:
MUST be eligible to work in the United States, visas are not sponsored.
Recent completion of a graduate degree (MHA, MHSA, MBA, or related field).Students who are looking for a fellowship to complete a required 3rd year residency for completion of their graduate program will be considered.
