Growing together.The Clinical Administrative Coordinator will work in a high volume, customer service environment and will need to be efficient, productive and thorough dealing with our members over the phone.
This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:30am - 5:00pm EST M-F. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional weekends (Saturday/Sunday).
Approximately 25% of travel is required within Maryland for clinical days and marketing events.
Training will be on site for approximately 2 weeks in Columbia, MD.
If you are located within the state of Maryland, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage administrative intake of members
- Work with clinics, facilities and the quality team to manage requests for services from members and/or providers
- Initiating outbound and handling inbound calls using a dialer system
- Assist the clinical staff with setting up documents/triage cases for Clinical Coverage Review
- Handle resolution/inquiries from members and/or providers
- Will work independently
- Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- 2+ years of customer service experience
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel (create, edit, save documents/spreadsheets) and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management)
- Ability to work 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday EST
- Resides within the state of Maryland
- Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time (Domestic) within the state of Maryland
- Access to reliable transportation & valid US driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within the health care Industry and with health care insurance
- Experience working in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting
- Experience working in a call center
- Experience working in a metric-based environment
- Clerical or administrative support background
- Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codes
Telecommuting Requirements:
- Reside within the state of Maryland
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.98 to $32.12 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
