Gotham Enterprises Ltd is actively seeking a compassionate and qualified Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to enrich our School Mental Health Team at our Private School located in Milton, Vermont. Work Environment

This LICSW position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting combined with the unique opportunity to engage with our community health clinic. While the work is primarily conducted from a remote location, you will strategically participate in on-campus activities to be an integral part of the school community, ensuring that students receive the care they need in a timely and empathetic manner.

Our standard work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the potential for occasional evening shifts and rotating weekend schedules to ensure comprehensive mental health service coverage for our student population. An on-call component may also be present to address urgent mental health situations swiftly.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments to identify students' needs, examining personal histories and current concerns in a sensitive and supportive manner.
• Collaboratively develop and implement tailored treatment plans that address identified mental health issues while promoting emotional resilience and successful school integration.
• Provide high-quality therapeutic interventions, employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care strategies.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to nurture personal growth, enhance emotional regulation, and cultivate coping mechanisms.
• Work closely with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care that addresses each student's unique challenges.
• Provide crisis intervention services as needed, utilizing calming techniques and connecting students with other levels of care when required.
• Deliver psychoeducation sessions for students and their families, guiding them through mental health conditions, treatment methods, and community resources available to them.
• Document all assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant documentation, adhering to legal and ethical standards for confidentiality and record-keeping.
• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences, contributing your expertise to enhance collaborative care practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest laws, regulations, and ethical standards relevant to school-based mental health practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a diverse student body, which includes children and adolescents from various backgrounds and with a wide range of mental health needs. You will have the opportunity to work closely with students experiencing challenges such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma-related stress. Your ability to build rapport and foster trust will be crucial in creating a safe space for students to express their concerns and engage in therapeutic practices.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid LICSW licensure in the state of Vermont.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, with preference given to educational environments.
• A thorough understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and trauma-informed care practices.
• Experience in conducting mental health assessments, diagnosing conditions, and formulating effective treatment strategies.
• Familiarity with both individual and group therapy methods across a range of therapeutic approaches.
• Proven crisis intervention skills, demonstrating the ability to support students in high-stress situations effectively.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the establishment of strong working relationships across diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems and a solid understanding of computer applications.
• An ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a culture of support and shared learning.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working directly with school-aged youth in clinical settings.
• Knowledge of local mental health resources and community support systems.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
