Allied Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available
Opportunity:
Mammo Tech - Mammo Tech
Job Details:
• Perform imaging examinations on patients of all ages from newborn through geriatric
• Current registration with ARRT (R)(M) or equivalent required
• Current BLS certification required
• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program with dedicated mammography training preferred
• Two years post-graduation experience preferred
• Initial training in digital mammography and tomosynthesis required
• Must meet current MQSA requirements including 15 breast CEU within 36 months and 200 mammography exams in 24 months preferred
• Corroborate patient clinical history with procedures and assess patient conditions
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide instructions to minimize anxiety
• Position patients appropriately while respecting comfort and ability
• Evaluate images for technical quality and perform QA/QC duties
• Maintain patient records while respecting confidentiality
• Participate in orientation and training of new employees
• Apply principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure
• Perform clerical duties as needed for complete department coverage
• Maintain certification through continuing education requirements
• Ability to perform mammography studies including routine screening and specialized diagnostic views preferred
• Recent x-ray experience preferred, Fuji experience preferred
